The International Assessment Centre (Intac) Network

Intac has been developed by education specialists who realise that many assessments face similar challenges in getting their exams delivered safely and securely. When requiring ad hoc tests to take place, often at short notice, there are few options available. The British Council provides excellent services, but they have limited offices and availability - and can prove expensive for smaller examinations. Unless you are running high volumes of assessments in specific locations there is little need to create your own network. Intac is the solution for assessments, tests and exams who are looking for an already-established network of credible test centres.

We also accredit and support professional test centres who wish to deliver more exams and reach a wider or more diverse audience. Intac is building a network of the most credible invigilators to connect families and assessments to each other whilst protecting the credibility and security of their exams.

Our goal is to support the delivery of high stakes exams worldwide. If your assessments need to be administered by a trusted examiner in the candidate's local area then the Intac Network was built for you.

Contact us to find out how to get your tests to candidates no matter where they are in the world. In areas we do not already cover, we can help locate a viable and safe location to support your assessment.

We provide a full accreditation process and conduct all the necessary checks. We also support test centres with comprehensive instructions and a knowledge base to ensure consistency across all test centres.

We are seeking professional test centres to join our network

If you are already a test centre for internationally-accepted examinations - or you wish to be - we invite you to join our network.

 

Our team can guide you through the process and if, for any reason, you are not successful in becoming an Intac test centre we will provide full feedback on where you failed to meet our criteria and what steps you need to take to get accredited.

Digitise your tests and deliver them worldwide

We love technology and continually embrace new ways of delivering assessment. If you have an exam or test that you think would be better delivered online, we can write your test into exam delivery software and distribute it globally.

We can set up your tests to be administered through our test centre network or arranged to be sat at home with candidate ID checks and sophisticated, secure software.

Our Invigilation Charter

All Intac Test Centres formally sign up to uphold the following standards:

  1. We provide a professional, friendly and safe space to welcome candidates.

  2. We create a positive and comfortable environment for candidates to take tests in.

  3. We ensure any pre-arrival administration (checking of test papers, computer checks, ensuring invigilation instructions are present) takes place before the test session is due to start.

  4. We take care to welcome candidates on arrival, describe any rules or regulations – including what to do in the unlikely event of a fire or emergency, we explain where bathrooms are, and when there will be breaks in the examination process.

  5. We check candidate ID documents and ensure they match the information provided by the assessment, school or university.

  6. We ensure we fully understand the invigilation and administration instructions for each test and carry out each instruction as the assessment has described.

  7. We do not permit malpractice of any kind.

  8. We provide clocks in the testing area that candidates can see and explain how long tests will be and exactly when they will finish. We give 10 minute and 5 minute warnings towards the end of the assessment.

  9. We complete any further assessment administration (scanning, posting, or signing of documents) as soon as possible after the testing takes place.

  10. At the end of the testing process we dispose of any sensitive data or information in a responsible way.
